Iowa Congressman Steve King may represent the Fifth District, but he does NOT represent our Iowa values.

We find it repugnant that Steve King:

• ONLY member of Congress to oppose Bill To Commemorate Slavery, "In Order To Protect Judeo-Christian Heritage."

• Voted Against Children's Health Insurance, even Senator Grassley described King’s comments as “misleading and overheated rhetoric.”
• Voted to Raise His Own Pay in 2003, 2004, 2005, twice in 2006, and in 2007. Now makes over $169,000
• Is Running for Governor - setting up a "fundraising network" across the state - says it's his "obligation." What happened to representing the people in your district - isn't that your obligation as our congressman?
• Votes AGAINST Iowa and Iowa Values
• Failed to EVER Pass a Major Bill
• Has voted AGAINST Legislation to Lower Gas Prices
• Espouses Extreme Right Wing Politics
• Attacks and Smears Opponents
• King's press release attacking illegal aliens is featured on a white-supremist web site, "Vanguard News Network" (whose motto is "No Jews. Just Right.")
• Voted AGAINST Strengthening Flood Levees in Iowa's flooded towns
• Defends Cockfighting
• One of the most extreme voting records in Congress
• Was named "One of the Worst People in the World"
• Voted Against Helping Katrina Victims Rebuild
• Defended the Abuses in Abu Grhaib
• Voted Against Renewing the Voting Rights Act

These are Not Iowa Values.
